This "live", recording, made on a simple cassette recorder, is the earliest I have of Lakeside and was recorded in John's parents garage, where we used to rehearse, around late October/early November 1976. It contains 3 songs that we later dropped from our line up - Past Glory and The Wanderer by John and Together by me.
The reason why everything goes a little quiet towards the end of The Wanderer is because I accidentally trod on my acoustic guitar pick up lead and pulled it out of it's socket! Incidentally, the absence of electric guitar on this tape can be explained by the fact that I didn't actually own one at this time.
On Past Glory the voice, alongside Brenda's, is that of Bob and as may sound obvious Emma's Child had only just been added to our reportoire.
